Exercise 10: One Page Scroller Site on a Designer

Objective:
You'll research a designer you haven’t studied before (from any field: graphic design, web design, fashion, industrial design, etc.) and create a one-page scrolling website using Adobe Express. Your page will highlight the designer’s life, career, and key works, using a mix of text and images.
Instructions:

Choose a Designer:
​
Pick a designer you haven’t researched yet. The designer can be from any design field, including graphic design, web design, industrial design, fashion, or even architecture. This is your chance to explore someone new or lesser-known!

Research the Designer:
​
Gather the following information about your chosen designer:

Your page should include at least 400 words summarizing these key points.

Biography: Where are they from? What’s their background?

Design Style: What is their design philosophy or approach?

Notable Works: What are their most famous projects or designs? Include at least 3-5 images of their work.

Influence: How have they influenced the design world, or how do they fit into larger design trends

Create Your One-Page Scroller in Adobe Express (remember, Express is free to use and all Adobe products are available to students with approval at Adobe.psu.edu

Layout: Use Adobe Express to design a one-page scrolling website. Your page should flow smoothly, with text and images thoughtfully placed to guide the viewer.

Sections: Organize your page with clear sections, such as an introduction, biographical details, their design style/philosophy, and a showcase of their key works.

Images: Incorporate 3-5 images that represent the designer’s most significant projects. You can add captions to give context to each image.

Think About Responsive Design:

As part of the exercise, consider how your layout will work on both desktop and mobile devices. Make sure your images and text are balanced for easy viewing on smaller screens. Adobe Express has a preview feature, so you can check how your page looks across different devices.
