Exercise 13: Explorations in AI

Project Overview

In this project, you’ll use Adobe Firefly to create a digital scene that captures your vision of a “perfect day.” By customizing the prompt to include details that reflect your personal style, interests, and aesthetic, you’ll explore how AI interprets and brings your ideas to life. This exercise will give you a chance to experiment with prompt adjustments, colors, textures, and lighting, focusing on how each element shapes the final design.

Project Steps

Prompt Development: Start by imagining the details of your “perfect day.” Think about specifics like location, time of day, colors, mood, weather, and any personal elements you’d want in the scene—whether it’s a cozy café, a beach at sunset, or a cityscape with soft rain.
Crafting Your Prompt in Firefly: Next, take those ideas and turn them into a descriptive text prompt in Adobe Firefly. Use specific keywords to guide the style (e.g., “pastel tones,” “minimalist,” “surreal,” or “retro”) and add details like “sunrise at the beach,” “mountains at sunset,” or “rainy city street.”
Experiment with Variations: Once you generate an initial image, refine your prompt by experimenting with different words, adjusting colors, lighting, or composition. Try out new combinations and explore Firefly’s settings to see how small tweaks bring out different aspects of your vision.
Select and Polish Your Final Image: After generating several versions, choose your favorite result and make any final adjustments
Reflection and Sharing: Submit your final image, along with a brief reflection (minimum 400 words) of your process and the choices you made for your “perfect day.” Talk about what inspired you, how Firefly’s output compared to your vision, and any interesting adjustments you made to achieve your final image.
