Module 7
Exercise 7: Magazine Cover

Objective:
This week, you get to play the role of a magazine designer! Your task is to come up with a fictional magazine name and theme, then design a cover that would grab someone’s attention at first glance. It’s a chance to have fun with design and experiment with everything from fonts and colors to layout and images.

Steps:
Pick a Theme and Name for Your Magazine
Think about what kind of magazine you’d like to create. Is it about fashion, travel, food, technology, or something more niche like eco-friendly living or indie music? Once you’ve got your theme, come up with a name that fits the vibe of your magazine.

Design the Cover
Using Adobe Express (or Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign if you’re comfortable with those), put together a cover that includes:
-
Magazine Title: Make sure your title stands out and matches the style of your magazine.
-
Main Image: Choose or create an image that brings your theme to life. It could be a photo, an illustration, or a graphic design—whatever fits your concept.
-
Cover Lines: Add a few headlines or teaser text to give people a taste of what’s inside. These should work with your main image and not clutter the design.
-
Extra Elements: Feel free to include things like barcodes, issue dates, or logos if you want to make it look more like a real magazine.

As you’re designing, keep these things in mind:

-
Typography: Choose fonts that match your theme and are easy to read.
-
Color Palette: Pick colors that work well together and suit the style of your magazine.
-
Layout and Composition: Think about how everything is arranged on the cover. It should feel balanced and guide the reader’s eye around the page.
-
Visual Hierarchy: Make sure the important stuff (like the magazine title and main headline) stands out the most.
Tools:
Use Adobe Express (you can also use Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign if you are familiar with that software)
For Submission:
